시안(侍安)은 ‘편안한 시간, 시간도 쉬어가는 곳’을 의미하며, 예[禮]를 다하여 고인을 추모하는 프리미엄 가족 납골 묘입니다.
‘만물은 있음에서 생겨나지만 있음은 없음에서 생겨난다.’ 라는 개념을 전개하여 디자인하였습니다. ‘0' , ‘무’ 또는 ‘공’ 그리고 ‘영원함’을 의미하며, 무한대의 무소유를 함축하였습니다.

환경계획은 그 땅의 흙으로 이 빚은 타일 모듈로 한국 전통의 풍수지리까지를 반영하여 보이지 않은 곳까지 배려한 특별함을 형성하였습니다.
“시간마저 잠이 든 영원한 안식처” 공원 묘 납골시설 (Memorial Park) “시안”은 사후 세계까지 효를 중시하는 유교 문화의 영향으로 1,000년여를 이어온 매장 묘역인 구묘역(458,946㎡)과, 전 국토의 묘지화를 방지하기 위한 정책 변화의 일환으로 새롭게 조성된 560,079㎡ 규모의 가족 단위 납골시설이 함께 공존하는 공원묘지(cemetery)입니다. 조상의 묫자리, 돌 하나, 나무 한 그루도 자연의 지형지세를 중시하는 한국의 풍수지리 사상을 접목하여 공동묘지가 갖는 심리적 거부감을 극복하고 급격한 경사면(옹벽)으로 조성된 건조하고 인위적인 환경 특성을 자연스럽게 연출하여 가족이 함께 와서 조상의 지혜를 배우고 체험하는 친근한 시설을 목표로 계획하였으며 조상의 가르침이 계승되는 교육 공간화. 조상의 얼을 기록 보존하는 기념 시설화. 과거, 현재, 미래가 공존하는 시간적 역사성을 컨셉화 하였습니다. 이곳의 흙과 돌로 빚고 구워낸 타일을 모듈화하여 시설물을 연출하였으며 이는 이 공간이 최초의 탄생부터 현재까지 차곡차곡 세월이 쌓여 형성된 공간의 상징성과 역사적 가치를 중시하는 한국의 풍수지리 사상과 환경과의 일체성을 반영하였습니다.

동양의 신선 사상에 바탕을 둔 불로장생의 10 장생을 모티브로 단지를 10개 구역을 구분하고, 그래픽으로 패턴화하여 사인과 옹벽의 장식물로 형상화하였다 ( 2002년 현재 한국의 성씨 숫자 )의 가문을 상징하는 Memorial Wall을 구성하여 나의 조상을 확인하고 나의 뿌리를 알게 하는 교육, 기념, 가족문화 공간화를 구현하였습니다. 가로등을 비롯한 각종 시설물은 고인의 영혼을 지키고 보호하는 의미로, 동양 윤회 사상의 상징인 12지신을 활용하여 공간을 연출하였고 이는 방문 유족들의 불로장생을 기원하며, 조상의 영혼을 지켜주는 상징성을 주어 유족들의 심리적 안정감을 돕는 역할을 하기도 합니다. “시안”의 환경 디자인 주요 핵심은 단절이 아닌 나와 가족, 자연이 하나로 연결된 '가족 공존'의 공간으로 계획하였습니다.

The abode of the departed souls, a memorial park SI-AN (the words itself means Time & Peace), is divided into two areas where one side is the traditional individual tomb area of 458,946㎡, and the other side is the newly created family cinerarium area of 560,079㎡.

The key to the successful environmental presentation of this project depended on how to harmonize, overcome and coordinate such factors as the theory of divination based on the topography which Koreans traditionally value in great deal, mental avoidance toward the cemetery and the stiff drop-off resulted from pummeling the mountain side. SIAN aimed at creating a friendly space where a family can visit, learn and experience the wisdom of the ancestors and pay respect to them. The basic spatial concept is as follows, educational space where the wisdom of the ancestors can pass down, commemorative space where the history and spirit of ancestors is preserved, and historic & cultural space where the past, present and future coexist. The main tool of the design presentation is the use of a block-tile which is made of the soil in the near by area.
This block-tile module is used in all the facilities in SI-AN. The reason for this is to reflect the unity of the environment with a Korean traditional theory of divination based on the topography and symbolic meaning of the SI-AN area.

The graphic motive, 10 objects which are thought to have a perpetual youth, is selected based on the Orient’s  Taoism, and the selected motive is used to divide the whole SI-AN area into 10 sectors, and each object is used in the pattern of sign and decorative means on the revetment. Also, 259 memorial walls (the number of family name is known to be 259 in Korea) were built to show the roots of the ancestors’ history. In addition, 12 animals which are believed to protect the souls based on the Oriental theory of transmigration of souls are used in the facilities and street furniture such as in the lighting poles. This shows the wish for the perpetual life of visiting family members as well as symbolic meaning of protecting the souls of the ancestors in order to help the psychological tranquility of the visiting members. The key concept in the design of SI-AN is the ‘Space for the Co-existence of Family’ where the family, nature and oneself is connected into one.
